Lead Carpenter
Full-Time Position
Compensation: $40/hr - $45/hr, Depending on Experience
$2000 Signing Bonus
Miovic Reinhardt Associates (MRA) seeks an experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. In this role, you will lead carpentry crews on custom high-end residential construction projects. You will oversee project execution, coordinate with project managers and other trades, and ensure that work is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an opportunity to apply both your carpentry expertise and leadership skills on some of Seattle’s top custom home projects.
Responsiblities
– Lead and supervise a team of carpenters, providing direction, support, and mentorship
– Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to plan and execute work
– Perform skilled carpentry work, including framing, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and more
– Coordinate project activities including materials procurement, scheduling, and subcontractor management
– Communicate regularly with clients, project managers, and stakeholders
– Troubleshoot project issues and resolve conflicts to maintain progress and budget
– Train and mentor junior carpenters on best practices and techniques
– Document project activities: daily logs, safety meetings, progress photos
– Maintain a high level of client service and foster positive relationships
– Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site: properly handle and store materials, secure tools and equipment
– Follow all safety guidelines and wear required PPE
– Report incidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures
– Perform other duties as assigned by site management
Skills/Qualifications
– Reliable smartphone for communication and time tracking required
– Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a foreman or lead carpenter on high-end custom residential projects
– Proven expertise in a broad range of carpentry skills, including framing, trim, cabinetry, windows, doors, and siding
– Prior leadership or supervisory experience with the ability to guide, motivate, and support a crew
– Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications with accuracy and confidence
– Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and priorities
– Strong understanding of safety protocols, job site standards, and quality control procedures
– Clear and professional communicator with clients, teammates, subcontractors, and project managers
– Proactive problem-solver who maintains progress under pressure
– Willingness to lead by example and step in where needed to support the team and keep the project moving
– Team-first mindset, with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and mentorship
– Proficient in safe operation of a wide range of hand and power tools
Signing bonus disbursed after 90 days of employment.
