Historic Seattle Loft

Downtown Seattle’s Fisher Studio Building serves as a couple’s landing pad for in-city living, and posed several significant challenges for the project team: the 1913 building wasn’t quite built to plan, requiring forensic investigation, structural enhancements, and vigilant budget and schedule monitoring. The client’s project vision included a new three-stop elevator, all new mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems, a modified suspended mezzanine level, space reconfiguration and comprehensive new finishes. MRA maintained an extremely high level of attention to detail to both respect the traditional aspects of the building, and to properly execute the architect’s refined modern detailing. MRA is returning to complete the final phase of the original vision: a 1,200 SF roof deck.
