Courtyard House
Located on the shores of Lake Washington near the University of Washington, this new home for a family of four enlisted the technical savvy of the project team. From the significant excavation to reach sufficient structural soil through to the composite structure of concrete, steel, and wood, the modern design by DeForest Architects merited sophisticated coordination and sequencing of trades. And to achieve the design’s refined modern aesthetic that showcased channel glass, board-formed concrete, expansive operable glazed walls, green roof, and highly detailed metal work, Dejan and Frank sought out team members capable of delivering an exceptional level of craft.
