MRA (Miovic Reinhardt Associates) seeks a Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a Construction Project Manager, your role is pivotal in overseeing all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion. You are responsible for coordinating and managing resources, schedules, budgets, and personnel to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while meeting quality standards and client expectations. Your leadership skills are paramount as you lead multidisciplinary teams, foster collaboration, and effectively communicate with stakeholders. You're expected to anticipate and mitigate risks, resolve conflicts, and adapt to changing circumstances to keep projects on track. Ultimately, your dedication to excellence, attention to detail, and proactive approach are essential in driving project success and maintaining the company's reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects.
Responsiblities
– Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects, from preconstruction to execution and closeout.
– Collaborate with architects, engineers, site superintendents, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
– Develop project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-control measures to ensure projects remain within budget constraints.
– Maintain project schedules, establish milestones, monitor progress, identify potential delays, implement scheduling adjustments, and mitigate risks to maintain schedule integrity.
– Anticipate and address project challenges, resolve conflicts, and make timely decisions to keep projects on track by troubleshooting issues, managing change requests, and adapting to unforeseen circumstances.
– Maintain thorough project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and change orders, and prepare regular status reports and updates for stakeholders.
– Evaluate project outcomes against initial goals, objectives, and budgets, and identify areas for improvement in future projects.
– Maintain a positive attitude and open communication channels with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
– Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by addressing client needs and concerns, providing excellent customer service, by ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project.
Skills/Qualifications
– 5-8 years minimum experience as project manager of projects at or over $1 million is required
– Custom single-family ground-up project experience is required
– Excellent knowledge of construction principles, methods, materials, and processes
– Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with construction projects
– Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and schematics
– Proficiency in budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management
– Excellent organizational and time management skills
– Strong leadership, supervisory, and mentorship skills
– Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
– Fluent in a range of software tools such as Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel
– Experience with speculative residential and/or commercial TI construction is a plus
– Experience with sustainable building systems, materials, and techniques is a huge plus
– Certified Passive House Builder training is a huge plus
